Page 3 | Audi PCV System Repair Kits

This category is not limited to one single PCV valve style. It includes valve cover diaphragms, oil separator membranes, intake manifold diaphragms, actuator-related membranes, and complete valve cover repair solutions for multiple Audi and VAG engine families. That matters because crankcase ventilation faults on Audi engines can come from several connected components, not just one valve. The page is built around targeted repair of these known weak points instead of pushing full assembly replacement every time.

Use the exact engine code, OE part number, and component type shown in the product listing. This category includes many similar-looking membranes and repair kits, but they are tied to different engines such as 1.4L, 1.6L, 1.8/2.0 TSI-TFSI, and several TDI variants. That means visual matching is not enough. The safe route is to compare your original part number or current component design with the listing before ordering. PCV fitment is one of those areas where confidence without data gets expensive fast.

Common signs include rough idle, whistling noises, oil leaks, excessive crankcase pressure, lean running behavior, unstable engine operation, or increased oil consumption. On many Audi and VAG engines, the problem is often a torn diaphragm or failed membrane rather than a larger engine issue. That is exactly why this category exists: to provide repair-focused solutions for known ventilation and separator failures that can affect drivability and engine efficiency without requiring unnecessary replacement of complete assemblies.

That depends on the actual failure point. If the damaged part is only the diaphragm or membrane and the surrounding housing is still in good condition, a membrane-only repair can be a cost-effective solution. If the cover assembly has broader wear or the listing is built as a valve cover repair kit for that engine family, the more complete option may be the better long-term fix. The category includes both approaches, which is useful because Audi PCV failures do not all fail in the same way.

Because many crankcase ventilation failures come down to a relatively small rubber or diaphragm component, not a catastrophic failure of the whole engine system. Replacing the exact failed membrane, oil separator element, or repair kit can restore proper ventilation behavior at a much lower cost than replacing larger assemblies. For workshops, that improves repair efficiency. For owners, it reduces unnecessary spend. Put simply, it is the difference between fixing the fault and funding an avoidable parts bill.
