Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

Klifex LLC, trading as KLIFEX, operates klifex.net and is responsible for the personal information it processes for its store operations. Legal address: 42 Reads Way STE 42V, New Castle, DE 19720, USA. Contact: contact-us@klifex.net.

Our store is powered by Shopify. Shopify and payment providers may process information on our behalf and, for particular services or legal obligations, for their own purposes under their respective privacy notices. This policy concerns klifex.net; the operators and payment arrangements of klifex.com are separate.

Information and sources

We process contact and billing/delivery details; order, payment-status, refund and return information; customer-account information; support correspondence; and information you submit in reviews or requests. Payment providers handle payment credentials; do not email us full card details or security codes.

When you use the store, information can include IP address, approximate location, browser/device details, cookies, activity and interaction records. These identifiers can be personal information; they are not categorically anonymous. We also receive relevant transaction, delivery and fraud-prevention information from service providers involved in your order.

Purposes and legal grounds

Where the GDPR or corresponding rules apply:

Purpose Legal ground, where applicable
Responding to purchase enquiries, accepting and fulfilling orders, managing accounts and returns Contract or steps requested before a contract
Tax/accounting duties, required consumer notices and legally required records Legal obligation
Store security, proportionate fraud prevention, handling correspondence and defending claims Legitimate interests in protecting customers and operating and defending the business, balanced against individual rights
Optional marketing and non-essential tracking where consent is required Consent, which may be withdrawn

Providing information needed for an order is voluntary, but without the necessary details we cannot process payment, deliver goods or resolve the request. We do not use agreement to this policy as a substitute for consent where separate consent is required.

Recipients and international processing

Information is shared as necessary with Shopify; the payment services used for your transaction, including PayPal or wallet services where selected; fulfilment and delivery providers; customs authorities for cross-border shipments; support and order-management services used for the order; and professional advisers or authorities where required.

Our operations and service providers can involve processing in the United States, Ukraine and other countries. A US seller address does not mean all data stays in the US. Applicable transfer safeguards must accompany restricted transfers, such as an applicable adequacy decision, a qualifying framework participation or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. A provider's privacy policy does not by itself replace our own obligations for transfers we arrange.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Essential technologies support functions such as checkout, account access, cart persistence and security. Optional analytics and advertising technologies have different purposes. Where applicable law requires consent, you have the right to choose whether non-essential technologies may be used and to withdraw your consent. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Contact us for help exercising your choices or obtaining information about the tracking technologies used by the store.

Where applicable US law grants rights concerning sale, sharing or targeted advertising, you may exercise those rights by contacting us and using any applicable privacy choices offered by the store. Applicable recognized preference signals must be respected. Whether a particular disclosure is a sale or sharing depends on its actual use and the applicable law, not only on whether money changes hands.

Marketing consent, where used, is separate from essential order and service messages.

Retention and security

We retain data for the time needed for the stated purposes, applicable accounting/tax requirements, returns, payment disputes, security and legal claims. Different categories have different retention needs. Data subject to a legal hold may need to be retained longer.

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and secure service providers. No storage or transmission system is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and applicable opt-outs from sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling. Rights have conditions and lawful exceptions, including recordkeeping duties.

Contact contact-us@klifex.net to make a request. We may reasonably verify identity and will respond within the applicable legal period, including the GDPR's general one-month period where applicable, with lawful extensions where needed. You may complain to the relevant privacy regulator. Exercising a right does not waive consumer rights in relation to an order.

Material updates will be published with an updated effective date. An updated notice does not retrospectively create consent for a new purpose.
