If the engine is diesel, rumbles, up to 1500 rpm an error pops up (very rarely) on the camshaft, poor acceleration, then the phase regulator plates need to be replaced. Usually after 180 thousand km or more.
The plates are made by analogy with the original from bearing steel ШХ 18 and surface hardened. Hardness +- 50HRC (original 46 - 48HRC)
We recommend replacing in the following order:
- Removing the solenoid valve and mechanical valve (left-hand thread)
- Dismantling the plastic cover (an option is possible without first removing the engine mount).
- Closing the slots leading to the pan with clean rags is very important to do this now, not later, because you have to remove the pan and get everything that falls there so that there are no even the slightest holes!!!
- Removing the shaft support
- Unscrewing the 5 phase regulator bolts that secure the front and rear covers (be careful not to pop out the valve spring with a stop)
- Replacing the plates (there are small leaf springs under the plates) so as not to lose them - you can install a magnet under each dismantled plate - you can pull it out with tweezers, or a similar tool
Reassemble in the opposite direction, but pay attention to the following:
- Move the rear cover relative to the sprocket mark against the rotation movement by 1 - 3 mm, depending on wear, to compensate for the wear of the fixing valve and its seat, and, accordingly, the gap in degrees to which the sprocket returns in the starting position (reducing this gap prevents further breaking of this node since we will bring the gap to a new state). This gap, or the angle on the rotating sprocket relative to the shaft in the starting position, should be left at a minimum of 0.5-2mm at the top of the sprocket.
- Move the front cover one step (bolt) to the left or right so that the retainer valve seat works on the new surface. Center both caps on the sprocket.
- Before installing the support, make sure that there are no sharp edges on the ends of the shafts that can damage the working surfaces in the support (remove with a file if necessary)
- If the mesh is torn off in the resistance, find its remnants, possibly in the channels of the head and remove it. Also remove the remnants of the grid on the grid body. If the mesh is intact, then cut it out with a clerical knife, and leave the body as it additionally fixes the valve in the seat. Check the condition of the working surfaces for tangible burrs - especially on the intake shaft sleeve.
- Install the support with one hand without any blows!!! rotating - moving the shafts with the keys for the sparkles on them. Lubricate with oil before. Tighten the mechanical valve with a torque of less than 35NM.
- It is strictly forbidden to rotate the motor in the opposite direction.
We keep in mind that the replacement of records does not always eliminate noise and "dieseling" for us.
