The crankcase gas ventilation valve (PCV) is built into the valve cover of the motor. After a while, the membrane of the PCV hardens, cracks and eventually breaks. This leads to the fact that unaccounted air enters the engine. If you do not repair and replace the valve cover membrane in time, the engine will stop starting at all.

When the valve cover membrane ruptures, the following occurs:

• A whistle is heard in the area where the engine is located.
• Fuel and oil consumption increases significantly.
• Black smoke appears.
• The motor is unstable, especially at idle.
