Modern cars, such as Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat, use a diaphragm-type crankcase gas ventilation valve. Over time, this element becomes polluted, deteriorates and becomes unusable. Before you start replacing the membrane or the entire kit, you should test the product. For this you can:
- Turn off the motor, remove the valve and blow it.
- Do not turn off the engine, but use the hose coming from the intake manifold to check for the presence of vacuum with your finger. If it is present, then the valve is working.
Most of the problems of the ventilation system of quarry gases are valve failure and clogging of hoses. The wear of the cylinder-piston parts of the motor has a negative effect on the functioning of the crankcase gas ventilation valve of the membrane type. And the increased pressure destroys the membrane directly.
Moreover, the membrane cannot be purchased separately from the entire repair kit in which it is included. Because the manufacturers VOLKSWAGEN, SKODA and SEAT did not provide such an option.
