18mm Aluminum Swirl Flap Blanking Plugs - Opel - 55210201 / 55210202

These aluminum blanking plugs are for the swirl flap openings in the listed diesel intake manifolds. Wear around the flap shafts can cause play, boost-air and oil leakage, or sticking flaps; inspect the manifold before selecting the required repair.

Applications

• Opel diesel applications with z19dt, z19dtj or z19dth engines.
• Listed model designations: Signum, 156, Zafira, Astra, GT, 159, Croma, Stilo and Vectra. Match the manifold number and plug size.

Size Selection

Two sizes exist: 18mm and 15mm. This 18mm version is listed for manifolds 55210202 and 55210201. Check the required diameter before ordering.

When to Inspect the System

• Reduced engine power.
• EGR or intake manifold faults.
• Black exhaust smoke.
• Unstable idle.
• Intake air leaks.
• Carbon build-up or sticking flaps.

Inspect the intake and EGR system to establish the cause. Symptoms alone do not confirm the required repair.

Material and Repair Scope

Material: aluminum. The product is the blanking plugs, rather than a complete intake manifold. Inspect play and leakage around the flap shafts, sticking flaps and any broken flap components.

Important Before Ordering

Compare the original part number, marking, shape and mounting design before ordering. A model name alone does not confirm the required version.
