Wear and Repair Scope

Shaft play can cause boost-air and oil leakage. Increasing wear can lead to sticking flaps and reduced engine response if they remain closed. Broken flap components can enter the cylinders and cause engine damage. Inspect the complete intake assembly and confirm the affected parts before choosing the repair.

When to Inspect the Intake

• Reduced engine response.
• EGR or intake manifold faults.
• Black exhaust smoke.
• Unstable idle.
• Intake air leaks.
• Carbon deposits or sticking flaps.

Diagnose the affected mechanism before selecting repair parts; these signs do not identify this component as the cause by themselves.

Important Before Ordering

Compare the original part number, marking, shape and mounting design before ordering. A model name alone does not confirm the required version.
