Mercedes-Benz Heater Valve Seal and Diaphragm Kit - 0008306584

The seals and diaphragms service the internal sealing section of the heater control valves for Mercedes-Benz SL-Class R129 and E-Class W124 applications. VN-129 contains no valve cones; match the installed valve reference and design before ordering.

Vehicle Applications

• Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster (R129)
• Mercedes-Benz E-Class saloon (W124)
• Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate (S124)
• Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate (T124)
• Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe (C124)
• Mercedes-Benz E-Class cabriolet (A124)

When to Inspect the Heater Valves

• The heater blows only hot air.
• The heater blows only cold air.
• Cabin temperature cannot be adjusted.
• Left and right air temperatures differ.
• Cabin heating is weak in winter.
• Coolant leaks through the heater valve.

Check the heater valve block to establish the cause. These symptoms do not identify a failed cone or sealing component by themselves.

Repair Scope

The internal repair components can be serviced while retaining a sound housing and serviceable solenoids. Worn seals can cause coolant leakage; inspect the housing because cracks may require replacement of the complete unit.

Important Before Ordering

Compare the installed heater valve OEM/P/N, marking and physical design with the listed references. Different valve versions may be fitted to the same vehicle model.

FAQ

Does VN-129 include cones?

No. It contains only seals and diaphragms.

Which chassis versions are listed?

SL-Class R129 and E-Class W124, S124, T124, C124 and A124 are listed.

Can the kit repair a cracked valve housing?

Inspect the housing first. A cracked housing may require replacement of the valve assembly; internal seals do not repair the housing.
