Product Overview

The reed valve is installed in the intake system of a two-stroke engine and regulates the flow of the air-fuel mixture into the crankcase. The valve petals open under the influence of vacuum and close the channel when the mixture moves back. Damaged petals can cause difficulty starting, unstable engine operation, stalls when revving, and loss of power. The part is suitable for KTM 50 SX 2002-2008, as well as motorcycles and mopeds with Minarelli AM6 engine, including Yamaha DT/TZR, Beta, Husqvarna, Aprilia, Peugeot, Rieju, Sherco, Malaguti, MBK, Fantic, HM and HRD. When to check the reed valve: The engine is difficult to start; works unstably at idle speed; failures appeared when opening the gas; the engine loses power; the air-fuel mixture returns towards the carburetor; valve petals are deformed, damaged or do not fit tightly to the body.
