Restoration of the central locking vacuum pump in the Mercedes W220
The key ring must be removed from the motor shaft when preheated to 70-80°C. To do this, the easiest way is to use a building hair dryer. Then, using two slotted screwdrivers, disconnect the graphite housing from the base of the electric motor, at the same time removing the key ring from the shaft.
Important! Before pressing the rings onto the shaft, it is necessary to fix the metal adapter bar on the motor and the lower part of the graphite housing, as in the photo.
To press the key ring onto the shaft, it is best to use a large vice and 6mm hex sockets. We rest the motor shaft in a vise on one side, clamp the hexagonal head into the lip of the vise on the other and begin to slowly press the ring, while heating it with a building hair dryer.
