- 2 aluminum intake manifold plugs.
- 2 steel exhaust manifold plugs.
Engine Control Requirement
Physical EGR removal requires the corresponding software change in the engine control unit. The plugs alone do not perform that software work.
When to Inspect EGR and Intake
- Reduced engine response.
- EGR or intake manifold faults.
- Black exhaust smoke.
- Unstable idle.
- Intake air leaks.
- Carbon deposits or sticking flaps.
These signs require diagnosis of the affected assembly; they do not by themselves identify a need for this kit.
