This kit removes the EGR system on the listed BMW M47N2, M57N and M57N2 diesel applications. Preventing recirculated exhaust gas and soot from entering the intake helps reduce deposit formation. ECU software deactivation of the EGR system is required after removal.

Intake and EGR Symptoms to Investigate

  • Reduced engine response.
  • EGR or intake manifold faults.
  • Black exhaust smoke.
  • Unstable idle.
  • Unwanted air entry into the intake.
  • Carbon deposits or sticking flaps.

Inspect the EGR valve, heat exchanger and intake manifold; soot and oil deposits can impair intake operation. Confirm the cause before choosing the repair.

ECU Requirement and Selection

Software deactivation of EGR in the engine ECU is required for correct engine operation after removal. Check the installed EGR valve type by VIN or visually compare it with the product photos. Match the full reference and mounting design.
