Installation Procedure

• Remove the turbochargers from the engine. Removal can be easier with the engine out, although removal without taking the engine out is possible with appropriate skills. Check turbocharger play and catalytic-converter condition.
• Unbolt the vacuum wastegate actuators.
• Mark the old flap position relative to the turbocharger before removing it with a grinder.
• Fit the new flap in the marked position and weld the lever to the rod using argon-arc welding equipment.
• Refit the vacuum actuator. Replace worn vacuum lines and clean or replace the N54 solenoid pressure converters.
• Use new oil supply lines, coolant hoses, seals and gaskets during installation.
