The oil housing valve on a BMW with an M50, M50TU, M52, M52TU, M52B28, M54, M56 engine is often worn out and pours grease in vain.
The oil casing is a very important structure. It directly holds the lubricant in place when the machine is not moving. A transmission fluid leak can lead to premature engine failure.

Valve replacement
In order to repair a part, it is not necessary to buy a filter assembly. It is enough to purchase a repair kit that includes an aluminum shut-off valve and a gasket. A metal part will last longer than a plastic one.
Repair algorithm:
- We take out the old valve - just pick it up with the flat end of the screwdriver.
- Lubricate the new part with grease or lapping paste.
- We put it in place.
- We press firmly - just put a wooden block on top and lightly hit with a hammer.
- We degrease the canvas.
- Insert the gasket.
It is also important to clean the pan into which the grease flows.
