Suspension Restriction

Not suitable for E-Class W211 wagons without ADS that have air suspension on the rear axle only. Select for the listed rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive applications with pneumatic suspension on both axles. Reference forms: A2113200158 and 2113200158.

When to Inspect the Air Suspension

• The vehicle rises slowly after starting.
• The compressor runs too often.
• Air suspension faults appear.
• The vehicle sags after parking.
• The compressor overheats or is noisy.
• Pressure builds slowly.

Diagnose the affected compressor and complete air suspension system before repair.

Repair Limits and External Leaks

Check for leaks in the air springs, pipes, reservoir and valve block. Repairing the compressor component will not fix an external system leak that causes frequent compressor starts.
