A/C Compressor Control Valve - SD7V16 - Ford / Jaguar / Lincoln / Mercury

This control valve regulates the output of an SD7V16 air conditioning compressor in the listed applications. A faulty valve can cause weak or unstable cabin cooling, intermittent loss of cold air and incorrect system pressure readings.

SD7V16 compressors can use different valve designs. The main selection check is visual comparison of the removed valve with the product photos. Match the housing shape, working section, O-ring position and overall design, including fit in the compressor seat. Compressor type, vehicle make, model or year alone is insufficient.

When to Inspect the Valve

• Weak cabin cooling.

• Changing vent air temperature during A/C operation.
