The GY-291 ADXL345 is a compact 3-axis digital accelerometer for measuring acceleration along the X, Y and Z axes. The module can be used to detect tilt, position, motion, shock and acceleration changes in electronic and microcontroller projects. The module is based on the ADXL345 accelerometer with a selectable measurement range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g or ±16g. In full resolution mode, the sensor provides up to 13 bits and a scale of approximately 4 mg/LSB. Data transmission is carried out digitally via I2C or SPI interfaces. The accelerometer measures both static acceleration caused by gravity, which allows you to determine the tilt of the device, and dynamic acceleration due to movement, shock or vibration. The ADXL345 also supports activity/inactivity, single/double impact, and free fall detection. The module is suitable for educational projects, robotics, position and motion control systems, portable electronics, Arduino-based devices and other microcontroller platforms.
